Who: Harry Potter and Sirius Prewett Where: Sirius' apartment (soon to be Harry and Tonks' apartment) When: Three AM, morning after Sirius arrives What: Harry's anxious. Rating: PG 13 Status: Incomplete and CLOSED.
It'd been an eventful day, by Harry's recent standards. Taking into account that for the past three years Harry had spent most of his time sitting around on a couch, though, that wasn't saying very much. But meeting someone who was under the impression that they were a close friend of yours? That didn't happen every day, not even if you were Harry Potter. He'd had people try to act like they were friends with him, because of who he was, but he hadn't experienced anything like this before. How had Prewett found him? He and Tonks hadn't intentionally gone there, so there was no way for anyone to know where he was. But Prewett had, and he'd come in search for him. And that Auror badge.. that badge definitely wasn't fake. He'd had a good hard look at it.
Harry didn't understand the situation, and that's why he'd insisted that he and Tonks stay in Remus' apartment and let Sirius have the other one to himself. He certainly didn't feel comfortable enough with the other man to sleep in the same apartment as him... he felt much better about staying with Remus. Even if Prewett was just across the hall, he didn't have a wand on him, and Harry hadn't even considered the idea of wandless magic.
Thankfully, they wouldn't have to worry about Sirius attacking them.
Everyone had gone to sleep in their 'usual' arangements - Tonks in Remus' room, Remus and Jalil in the darker boy's room, and Harry on the couch. And everyone had fallen asleep, even Harry. Even Tonks. But at three in the morning, like clockwork, Harry woke with a start.. but he hadn't shouted. He sat there for a little while to make sure no one had woken up.. and then he was grabbing his wand, before heading to the door. Harry slipped out as quietly as he could and moved across the hall, clearing his throat before lifting his hand to knock firmly, three times on Sirius' door. Yeah, it was three thirty in the morning. But his mind was racing, full of questions and curiousity and he couldn't just sit there and think about it any longer.
