"An hour?" Jack asked, looking down at his own watch and giving a slight nod. "I think I can stand to loiter about. Though I would hope refills come with the hour-long wait." Jack certainly could be conniving when he wanted to be. A smile graced his face, mirroring the one on Ianto's. "There is something to be said for not playing the role of leader." Almost ten years he had Torchwood 3 under his command. Now, it felt strange to not have them to worry about. Of course, the others weren't far from his mind -- they never would be.
"No, not all of it," Jack replied with a sheepish smile. "The things Gwen and the others would definitely need are still back there. I wanted to keep some of the more dangerous devices with me. The ones I know how to operate and shouldn't be in the hands of anyone else."
Jack lifted his head, a slightly surprised expression settling on his face as Ianto invited him to stay. There was the vain hope that, maybe, the 'until you get settled somewhere' bit would become irrelevant. Stil..."Forty seven minutes and thirty eight seconds to be precise," Jack replied with a bit of a smirk. Smart ass? "If you're offering, I certainly won't turn it down."
