When Delta was ejected, York's body would jerk violently once, but then Church would have control back, but he'd find that something didn't quite feel right. Something was off. But all the same, he had control.
Tex, though, was stepping back when River pulled that chip out of his head and she stared forward at the blonde man with the brunette inside. She'd been around York when he'd had Delta ripped out like that -- The damage that did to a brain was.. well. It certainly wasn't a good thing. Delta needed to collect himself, pull himself together, back out of York's mind, not be spontaneously ejected. But it had happened thirty times previously and a few more wouldn't ruin him anymore than he already was. They'd tested that, in the Freelancer program, pulled Delta out of his head several times to see the damage it would do. And York had sat and let them. He was a good soldier. Not like Church. Not like Tex. And she wasn't quite sure if he was going to react like he had in prior times. She hoped not, because Church was in there.. and when York didn't surface and freak out, she relaxed some. She wasn't sure if it was a good thing or a bad thing that River had removed Delta.
"He's not an AI." Insisted to River again. "There was no need for that." But she was holding her hand out for Delta. She'd feel better with him in her pocket than anywhere else.
