She glanced once to York before looking more intently at River, even as Church called her over. But all York could do was smile away, like the cat who just ate the canary.
"We paid your bail, so you're both free to go." And even as he said that, the police officer was coming forward to unlock Tex's cell, then he was stepping aside to let her pass through the door and into the main cell room, where the others were, then he closed the door and relocked it behind her. And as soon as that officer was headed over to Church's cell.. York began to speak again.
"By the way, Tex.. had Church here told you that he spent some time in a hot tub with River? That they were naked together? That he touched her? That he kissed her?" York couldn't have stopped smiling if he had to -- if a bomb had dropped right now, he would have smiled through it. And Tex was turning suddenly, sharp green eyes snapping onto Church, through those bars, as the officer began unlocking the door holding the Blue Team spartan.
