His surname helped him stir a bit more, but he still didn't wake-- it was that wet cloth pressed to his face that had blurry blue eyes opening, and sure enough, not even a second later he was trying to jerk upright -- it was a good thing that Harry had his hand there, because it kept him on his back and he only hissed a bit from the pain in his shoulder, but was able to focus on Harry, red-rimmed eyes widening a little as his pupils narrowed in. "I killed a man." He blurted out the confession and tried to sit up again, but was pinned down, and he was too weak to fight against the older (younger) wizard.
"I broke his neck-- I broke his back-- I bit his friend and I-- Oh, Merlin." Blue eyes shut tightly in an effort to try and keep his emotions under control but it was impossible. He'd murdered someone. He'd murdered a person! "I killed him, oh, Merlin, I killed him!" That was a little more frantic, but he gasped for air and calmed himself again, but tears leaked out from the corners of those tightly closed eyes. "I killed him. I'm sorry, I'm so sorry-- I murdered him, oh my God." Something had to be dire for Remus to say 'God' instead of 'Merlin', since it wasn't a phrase he ever used.
