It was chilly. That was the main problem with this, Elphaba thought. Oz had its winters, sure, but the woman wasn't used to things being artificially cold. And she wasn't about to throw on a sweatshirt just to walk down the Frozen Food's aisle at the local market--no, she was too stubborn for that.
And she knew of iceboxes and whatnot, but not to this extent. Food was frozen to be stored or occasionally enjoyed cold, not like..this. It was all just very bizarre, she thought.
"Well enough," the Witch replied. "Some things more than others." How the various systems worked around here? Elphaba was fine on that. How to change a lightbulb? It came easily enough, but was still and...'adventure.'
