How could one have chocolate cookie form? And what was the white filling? Elphaba was about to pick up a blue package out of sheer, bizarre interest--but then the voice scoffed behind her, and she glanced to turn around.
Oh, it was one of the people who was shopping here. Well, of course it was. Who else would be here? He didn't seem to be staring, but Elphaba recognized a guarded glance, not wanting to insult her. That was better than blurting something out, at least. Also, he seemed to be more upset at her almost-choice of sugary treat than her skin color. That was interesting.
