It was still a bit chilly out for something like this, but it was the sort of date Ianto liked: low maintenance and pleasant. Something easy, something they could be close with, but nothing that required work. Tonight, Ianto suggested a thermos of coffee and some stargazing, while the air was still crisp and clear from winter weather. There was a blanket to sit on and a clear sky above them in the park. Ianto had his arms draped over his knees and his head turned to watch Jack with his face held up to the skies. They had been out for most of the night, watching stars and the full moon go by and by now Ianto was tired but unwilling to end this. And why not? He had tomorrow off.
Well. Today, by now. It was well after midnight and had to be approaching dawn. The air had that slightly gray quality to it that heralded the sunrise.
At some point, Ianto leaned against Jack's shoulder and stifled a yawn. "Tell me something about one of those stars. Anything you like. I'll come up with a story for another star when you're done. Anything at all. Doesn't have to be true. I just want to hear you talk for a bit." He more than half wanted to burrow under the greatcoat with Jack, having left his own heavy wool coat at home in favor of something lighter. It was April, yes, but the pre-dawn chill was something else.
