"Same face." Agreed as he lifted a hand to flick on of his ears, but the smile never left. She looked different, but she looked the same. His Rose. And when she'd taken that first step forward, he'd let his mouth open some, as if to question her.. but then she'd hurried forward and flung her arms around his neck.
The Ninth Doctor could have stood there like that for an eternity, his arms wrapping around Rose's waist to lift her some in an excited gesture-- and he even spun her around once before letting her feet find the ground again, though he still held on tight. "Here I'd thought you'd gotten used to the younger, skinnier version and wasn't interested in the older, chunkier version anymore. Good to be wrong." And after a few moments of holding her close, he finally released her and stepped back, using his arms to push her out at arm-length so he could look over her again, from head to toe and back. "So grown up. How long has it been since you saw me last?" Months? Years. Definitely years. But he didn't know how many.. surely no more than three. Had she still traveled with him? Was she still his companion? He couldn't imagine that she wasn't, if she was still with him.
