If Jack were wholly honest with himself, he would have known this was where things were progressing. However, Jack hand tried to kid himself, assuming that if he ignored it, it would go away or would cease to exist. Foolish, yes, but i t was Jack's standard mode of operation. Still, while they were words, Jack couldn't find it in him to return them -- it wasn't that he didn't feel the same, he just couldn't say it.
This was a time when Jack allowed actions to speak louder than words. He wrapped his arms around Ianto, cuddling the other man against his body with a sigh.
"I came here to find you," Jack said after a long pause. "I've told you that I wouldn't go home even if I could." My home is with you. More words he couldn't quite say yet. "I feel at home here and with you and that's what matters, Ianto."
