Any other reparte that might have occured between Jack and the Doctor died on his lips the moment the other TARDIS came into sight. Jack thought that, by this point in his life, there wasn't anything that could surprise him anymore. Apparently, he was so very very wrong. Jack swallowed hard, forcing his feet to walk forward and towards Rose -- and the Doctor. HIs eyes flicked back and forth between the new men and then skyward, expecting the heavens to come crashing down on them at any point.
This shouldn't be happening.
"He did," Jack said softly, staring at the man he most recently knew as the Doctor. "I... er... right. Should have told you about Rose first, but you started hearing the singing and it wasn't something to slip into conversation easily." He shoved his hands into the pockets of his greatcoat, looking at Nine. No, this wasn't a question for him. His attention turned to Ten instead, Jack snorting through his nose, a look of pure amusement on his face.
"So, how can two of you be in the same place at once? I don't even want to think of the paradox or why we're all still standing. So, Doctor," he inclined his head in Ten's direction, "Oh cheeky man, care to fill us in?"
