Astrologically Speaking

That is what a friend asked me tonight as I got into the car.  Seems there is mucho unrest at work for her today.

Do you find truth in the conjecture that signs within their own elements tend to mesh the best, i.e. fire with fire, water with water, etc.? I tend to disagree with this idea mainly because other placements can tell much more about a person, beyond their sun sign.

What sort of signs are you attracted to, and why? For me, though I'm a Gemini, I seem to jive well with Cancer, Leo, Virgo and Scorpio, and the occasional fellow Gemini. My ascendant is in Cancer and moon in Sagittarius, also. I find that I'd rather hang around the signs possessing emotional traits, and that the trivialities of air signs just don't quite do it for me.

Thoughts? Experiences? Feedback?

It is fun too look at how astrology relates to personality theories. Though with Harry Potter I use the term 'personality theories' very loosely.

I'm a Scorpio with Virgo rising and a Libra moon. I'm married to a Virgo. The moon is said to symbolize the mother, and my aunt was a Libra and more like a mother to me than my own.

I'm really excited about this community! I love astrology, although don't really know all that much about it *_~. I know the basics, and actually more than enough to make people think I'm an expert on the topic... unless of course I'm in a community where people actually know what they're talking about ^_^*.
