Who Adrian Reznik and Alessandra Rossi What You want me to be specific? Flirting :P When 8am-ish Friday morning, January 14 Where Starting in the lobby, then onto wherever whimsy takes them Status In progress / TBA
Adrian never worked Fridays. It had been in his deal ever since he started at the pharmacy and he liked it that way. A three-day weekend might not sound very different from a regular two-day weekend to some, but to Adrian it was almost a necessity in order to keep up with the set schedule of a working week. With his irregular sleep schedule, working nine to five occasionally took it's toll on him if his need to sleep clashed with his time at the pharmacy. He could manage those days, but coming home and tumbling into bed was always a blessing. Usually he woke up with Dexter next to him, or the cat woke him with paws to the face and insistent meowing for food.
This particular Friday had begun at 4am, when Adrian had been stirred from his sleep by the sound of something falling to the floor. At first he'd thought it was the cat that had pushed something over, but Dexter had been snoozing right behind his head. Getting into some clothes, Adrian had gone out in the living room to find that a number of his dinosaurs had fallen from their shelf. With a frown, he'd put them back up there, neatly arranging them before realizing that one was missing. He'd then spent some time searching for it, but if it was in the apartment, it was really well hidden. Realising he wouldn't be sleeping anymore for a while, Adrian had decided to go down to the security desk in person (as opposed to calling down) and let them know about the missing dinosaur. The time had been 4:30am at that point, but Adrian didn't mind the time and the night shift staff were used to seeing him up and about at the oddest of hours.
Once he'd taken care of that, he'd decided to go for a swim in the indoor pool - a very relaxing activity that early in the morning. He'd spent the most part of an hour there, before coming out in the lobby again and deciding he might as well hang around until Joe's opened and he could have a coffee. He could have gone back up to his apartment and made himself some coffee, but he had a sweet-tooth for the cafe's maple nut crunch coffee. Besides, pie for breakfast sounded good to him today and he wasn't worse off than that he could wait a few hours for the place to open.
Sitting in one of the many armchairs in the lobby, facing the fireplace, Adrian watched as a staff member rekindled the flames that had died last night. Once the fire was holding its own, the woman stood and gave Adrian a small, polite smile which he returned in the same manner. He watched the flames grow, feeling the warmth slowly build. People had been moving through the lobby in a somewhat even flow since about half past six and when the clock now moved closer to the 8 o'clock mark, Adrian was far from alone. Dressed in a grey t-shirt and sweatpants, he did look like he'd forgotten that he wasn't in his own living room but in a public space, but he didn't look shabby for it. He'd run his hand through his hair, one tress escaping and hanging in his face.
