Teddy still held onto Billy's hand. He still had the idea and just like Billy's hand, it felt nice to hold onto. Billy wasn't exactly saying no-- but he needed a clear 'yes or no.' And to be honest? He'll be honest.
"Do you think we could do that? Be friends and be friends? I can see how it would get messy, but I think we're ... I think we're good, Billy. If you and I can have crazy fucking powers and deal with Norse Gods and ... I mean, this is really the least crazy thing I've proposed."
It would shatter him to lose Billy. He was already kind of depressed to be moving out. Maybe that's what this was-- a terrible reaction to moving out. Teddy wondered aloud, "I'm gonna miss living with you. But... but since we're not, maybe that would make it less weird. Or more weird. I'm not sure."
Teddy exhaled loudly and sat up, releasing Billy in the process. He turned on the bed, sitting on his knees between Billy's legs. "If it's weird, we'll stop. This just feels ... like a good idea. Honesty. If it's weird, stop. If it's good, never stop?" He started laughing at the last part, because, best advice ever.
