Day 9,443. That was the count Victor Creed was at. He didn't know where he was other than a prison. It was dark. Quiet. Only time he saw light was when the guards came in to feed him. They only did that when he was going to die. The gifts were gone. And even if they weren't, the door was made of a rare metal called Adamantium. It was indestructible. There wasn't an escape. He had been here so long he had almost forgotten his name. The guards called him Scum. He almost thought that was his name.
The way it happened, he could remember. On an early mission he was over anxious. The terrorist cell known as "The Brotherhood." Sent him for a simple assassination. He was to kill the daughter of a congressman. Creed instead killed everyone in the room. When the cops found him, he was surrounded with a pile of bodies. Blood covered him and the wall. He stood foot deep in their guts and left overs. When they hit him with the riot gun, he didn't even see it coming. When he woke up, he was in the cell. If his count was right, that was close to 25 years ago.
"Creed be a good boy. Creed promise." He was rocking back and forth in the cell repeating this same line over and over.
The guards beat him, starved him, kept him in the dark. He was pretty sure he never got a trial. He was positive he never went to court. He just woke up in the cell. Alone. In the dark. "Creed be a good boy. Creed Promise."
He wasn't sure how he was alive. There was no reason for it. He had water, but it was stale. Sometimes he drank his own urine, to survive, but that was in the early years. He was going to get out. That he was sure of. There was no doubt. But it seemed hopeless. 25 years of solitude could do silly things to a man's mind. If he ever did get out, he wouldn't forget who did this to him.
"Creed be a good boy, Creed promise. Creed be a good boy, Creed promise. Creed...."
