Chloe glanced sideways at the wolf, trying to convince herself it wasn't necessary to, oh, climb a tree or something for safety. Even shape-shifted wolves had a certain--aura? No, it wasn't an aura. Just something about the look of the muscles under the fur, and the teeth, and the quiet way the paws pounded along the ground that made it impossible to imagine the wolf was just a friendly pet.
"It's about five more minutes to the bluff at this pace. We can stop there a bit if you like," Chloe commented, though she wasn't sure if that was necessary anymore now that Rahne had shifted to wolf form. She had no idea if that made the woman any less tired or not--wolves could run better than humans, yes, but in this case she had already been going for awhile as a human. Tricky. Well, the view was better from the bluff anyway.
