Steve sat there with his mouth slightly opened and his eyes wide as Tony went on the offensive with the Lawyer. He deserved it because he was trying to verbally attack them and make it look like they did something wrong. But the main issue had been that Steve didn't even know you could act that way in a court room. Maybe it was possible in 1963, but in his time he would never have imagined doing...that.
The main difference was Steve could use his status and personality to get him out of most binds. Tony seemed to take offensive measures, but he knew what he was talking about and was well spoken. Still, Steve hated that his friend was in this mess because of something he asked him to do. If he could have took all the heat, and spent some time in prison, he would have if it protected the other Avengers.
