The noise in the room was only one of few things that were bothersome. Given the events of the past week a court trial by way of the entries united states was not what Tony wanted to be doing right now. His patience had long since gone away, possibly for the winter, and though he didn't show it much beneath the veil of annoyance, he was excruciatingly tired, and hurting.
Hurting from what wasn't the only near death experience in his life, but this one had come pretty damn close. He didn't sleep a wink thay night or any other night that week for thay matter. Luckily he avoided the press questions swiftly upon entering the court room. The only evidence of an actual attack were the cuts and bruise on his face, the concealed bruised ribs, and chuncks of Stark tower--namely Tony's office, destroyed.
"It's not a matter of a good idea. It's a matter of going against what the government wants." He replied to Steve dryly, not taking his eyes away from the desk, or his head from his hand. When the man gave away to his lack of confidence Tony sat back and patted Cap's shoulder weakly. "Don't worry sweetheart, I've got you covered." A comment that would regularly be taken as insulting, but for those who knew him, it was Tony's way of being nice, the sincerity covered with sarcasm.
