Alison got off the bring, her face red from the cold but the rest of her reasonably warm from Scott's body heat while they rode together through the city. Admittedly there were a few sights they rode by that she had not seen before, so she wasn't really regretting saying yes.
However, the nerves at the pit of her stomach would not settled until she'd gotten off the bike, taken off the helmet, and had her guitar case in hand. There was something about being on her own two feet that eased her fear a little.
She looked around at the people, assessing the situation with a blank face. This was a place, full of musicians that she could probably feel comfortable in. A stranger, of course, noticing her guitar, addressed her with many assumptions about her situation.
Shooting him an odd look, Alison replied. "No, I'm not playing, just here to listen." And then jabbing a finger in Scott's direction, "And he's not my boyfriend."
Best to clear the air first and save having to give further explanations later.
