It was hard saying yes, even though, something in her heart knew he was genuine and was being completely honest. His intentions were clear in his actions and Ali had known plenty of people in her life who spoke nice, pretty words, but who's intentions were always the exact opposite. Knowing those sorts of people came from living in the different communes and on the street. Of course, she had met her fair share of honest folks too.
"You can understand my hesitation, can't you? I try to keep it hidden and no one bothers me about it and I like to keep it that way." Ali absently chewed on her bottom lip, fairly certain that her words sounded stupid. "Look, I don't want to keep you from your show and I am admittedly curious about your friends, so I'll accept your invitation."
She picked up her guitar case, the handle comforting in her hand. "I can pay for my own food. I don't need charity."
