"You got this," Bobby nodded encouragingly when Josh looked at him. "Easy." He stayed close by, monitoring the look on Josh's face and the steady glow of his hands.
But he wasn't prepared for when his roommate suddenly slumped over. "Josh." he said, glancing at Makani, then to his friend, "Hey, man, not funny." he nudged his shoulder, starting to grow alarmed when Josh didn't sit up and laugh at his trick. "Josh!" He said louder, shaking him and when the healer was still a limp bag of bones, Bobby pulled him off the girl, ooofing a little at the weight as he lowered him carefully to the floor on his back. "No, he's not dead." Though he wasn't positive! He checked Josh's pulse at his neck, listened for his breath, finding he was alive and breathing.
"Josh!" he slapped his cheeks a few times, then blew an icy cold wind in his face. "Well shit..." Bobby muttered and got up, going for the door. Why wasn't Josh waking up? There was frost on his eyebrows, for pity's sake! "Doc?" he called down the hallway, both ways, searching for Hank with his foot propping the door to Makani's room open.
