Bobby walked along, admiring the artwork, pointing out the fingerpaintings that were framed so proudly, especially. It gave the place a more homey feel, he thought. Less sterile and hospital feeling. He imagined the kids who'd been invited to do these very important fingerpaintings had been delighted and uplifted, buoyed that they were still wanted and needed in the world somewhere. Even if they weren't everywhere.
When the Doc stopped at one of the doors, Bobby glanced at Josh and offered a smirk. He didn't know the story behind this one, but the fact that josh wanted in to try healing her and Hank had advised against it made him intensely curious. He was eager to meet her and find out why Josh was so determined to heal her, not thinking it could be anything but compassion or possible attraction that had made his friend so intent on it.
Stepping inside behind Hank, Bobby could immediately smell the difference in her room vs out in the hallway. It wasn't a smell he could identify, but he associated it with someone who was very sick. Swallowing, he hesitated, feeling suddenly guilty to be crowding into the room of a sick girl he didn't know. Shouldn't that be the job of her family? It certainly didn't seem like a place a perfectly healthy guy from Long Island who didn't know a thing about healing to be sticking his nose. He glanced around Hank's bulk to see Makani and gave a small smile and a little wave, "Sup?"
