"Hey guys," Bobby had seen the unmistakable form of Hank from all the way across the lobby at the nurses station and walked over cheerfully. He'd spent the past couple hours sorting linens that were donated to the clinic and setting them up to be sanitized in the big vats of solution that was so strong it made anyone's eyes water who went near them. But it did the job, and they couldn't afford to bring some outside epidemic into the clinic that wasn't already there.
While down folding sheets, Bobby had made a little friend, and said friend was with him now. He was a short mutant, one who looked more reptilian than anything, and had slitted eyes like a snake. The boy was half bobby's height and half his age, but he held onto Iceman's hand as though he was much younger, looking around at the doctors, and especially Hank, with wide eyed wonder.
"This is Jonah. I found him in the big steam room downstairs, soaking up the heat from one of the vats." He grinned down at his green scaly new friend. "I think he fell asleep on one because look," he crouched down and turned Jonah's other arm out to show the burns to his scales on his under arm and Jonah's forked tongue flicked out and back in with quick succession in response, though he didn't make any sound of pain. "He got hurt." Bobby looked up at Hank and Josh, "I told him you guys could help him out, and that it won't hurt at all." he hoped so, at least!
