The explanation made sense to Hank and so his response came easily. "Yes, of course it would be that way, Josh. Cancer is an overwhelming disease that ravages the entire body, and especially blood based cancers. My hypothesis is that a cancer that is localized in a tumor would be easier to eradicate, but when it is so widespread, you have no starting point. With a broken bone, you know where the bone is broken and you know what needs to be done to fix it. With cancer, it's an unknown."
Hank nudged Josh's shoulder with his massive linebacker one. "That's why I want you to learn the anatomy of everything. By understanding the body, the manner in which the immune system reacts, how everything is connected, you'll have a higher success rate. If you don't learn, it's as if you're approaching a mine field. I would even propose that a part of the reason you're fainting as you are is because you're expending so much energy trying to find the solution. When you learn what you need to, that energy won't be spent."
