[ A masked face appears in front of a black backdrop. The voice when they speak is female sounding but distorted. Eyes are visible, blue in colour and a small amount of light brown hair showing despite the hood. A website address is shown on the bottom of the screen. ]Citizens of the Galaxy, we are ActNow! We are responsible for the disappearances of the people known as the Arrived.
Be assured that no harm has come to our hostages.
We will continue to gather more until our demands are met. It is long overdue that the general population be made aware of just who is now among their ranks. We are demanding the names of every person who has come into the Galaxy from another world. We are demanding that the government be held accountable for their lack of transparency. It is our right to know who we are dealing with. We are no longer willing to be left in the dark.
We have set up a registry on our website. We encourage the Arrived to identify themselves if our government refuses to do so. If you know of someone who is an Arrived we implore you to help our mission of transparency and identify them.
Until the strangers who walk amongst us are identified we will continue to find them ourselves and hold them indefinitely.
[ The video cuts out, with the website address taking up the screen for a few moments before fading to black. ]
Within the hour statements are made by NavCor, the UPCS, and several governments including Andromeda's - all condemning the actions and declaring ActNow! a terrorist organization. The ISK release a statement that is picked up by some new outlets and sites sympathetic to ActNow! In their statement they encourage people to take up the cause ActNow! laid out.
Statement by Caroline Forbes on NavCor's behalf at a press conference shortly after the video's release:
NavaTor Corporation wholly condemns the recent actions of the group known as ActNow!. NavCor believes in the actions of the UPCS in extending the designation of Living Kind to all Arrived and in turn believes that asking them to be identified and catalogued goes against this designation and the rights associated with it. We are asking if anyone has any information about ActNow! to come forward so that those taken may be found and released. On a more personal note, as an Arrived person myself, I extend my thoughts and worry to the others like me out there. If you are worried about your safety in light of the current situation please use the contact number that will be given at the end of this statement to set up security at your current location or transport to a safe house. Your anonymity is guaranteed.
A statement from the UPCS followed shortly after, which was delivered by an impassioned Noctis Lucis Caelum:
I’m a senator. I’m an Arrived. I’m a survivor of kidnapping. And I will not negotiate with terrorists. On behalf of the United Planetary Coalition Senate, rest assured that I’m doing everything in my power to bring these innocent people home. Because this is our home. We deserve the same respect afforded to our neighbors, our coworkers, our friends, and even our family—all relationships that we’ve found and cultivated here as we continue to put down roots. I ask that you help us now, when we need your help the most. If you have any information regarding this terrorist organization or the whereabouts of the missing Arrived, please come forward.
We can’t allow fear to divide us. The enemy isn’t standing beside you—the enemy is the suspicion this group and others want you to feel, but you’re smarter than that. We’re smarter than that, and stronger when we stand beside each other.
I believe in what we can achieve if we work together. I invite you to start now.
