Betrayal. It was familiar and Clarke knew all too well, overwhelming and painful too. Could she blame him for the huff? The obvious anger written upon his handsome face; no the attempt to hide it. The eyes fell to the floor. Familiar eyes, familiar hues, and so hurtful, the familiar veil falling upon them. Once upon a time, Clarke had been privileged, to see beyond the Bellamy the rest of the world admired, and yes, feared. The man that would do anything to protect his sister, that summoned strength from never feeling capable of having a single ounce. Where once her resentment resided, her annoyance, all she could possibly feel was admiration. To take on her decision as well as his own? How could she possibly ignore that? No, Clarke never thought she would be confronted so quickly with the reminiscent of her decision. Selfish? Yes. Delusional? Yes. Area 53 was unexpected, but here is was, surrounding her, putting her near the one person she'd given anything for, the one person that she knew would always fight beside her. His anger was well-placed. It was fitting. She'd not only abandoned him, she'd left her people.
Pale hands laced themselves together, fingers intertwined, and though their was a obvious amount of hostility between her and him, Clarke remained fearless. She kept her eyes upon him, watching as his eyes closed, the jaw taunt and finally those dark, compelling eyes found themselves upon her. The devil. The judge. What could she possibly do? It was nothing that she could and Clarke had no intention of stopping the wraith. She deserved it as much as her mother deserved her anger about her father. Hypocrite. She begged Bellamy to stay and when the moment came for her to do the same? She ran.
"Bellamy..." What could she possibly say? Nothing. There was no way to excuse her what she did,but it had been necessary. The others. they deserved better than her. "I ran." It was admittance they were both too familiar with. Here, was all they had. Perhaps there was no going back? No, Clarke refused to believe that this was all they had. "I...don't know. Are you?" The answer obvious, of course. He didn't want to be apart from his sister. How could this world ever, ever be okay? "I know...I ran."
