Getting two girls under the age of two ready for a Halloween party that took place around their usual dinner time was no easy fete. Caroline doubted that they would end up staying for very long, definitely not until the cut off time for children to be present. But she had made a vow to try and give her daughters as much of a normal childhood as she could for them. And part of a normal childhood in the USA at least was experiencing Halloween.
So she had donned Charlotte in a cozy Olaf costume because Hope's current favorite movie was that damn Frozen one. Hope wore her Anna costume without the mess of a wig because that thing had been more of a hassle than anything while Caroline was dressed as Elsa. Being in town for a little over a year, Caroline had managed to meet a number of people and settled in as best as she could. She'd dealt with alternate worlds already in Lawrence and was well aware that she'd be sticking around for as long as whatever had brought her here decided to keep her there. There wasn't any point in pouting about it.
So she kept up her smile as she walked around with Charlotte in her arms and Hope holding onto her hand as they ventured around the room. Hopefully there would be some people that she knew attending the party tonight.
