Alex nodded when Erica mentioned the chef's name, trying her best to commit it to memory. As she'd stated earlier she usually had poor memory for names, but this one might be worth remembering. The chocolate cake was really divine. She giggled when Erica said that she couldn't cook anything as good as that cake. "I'm sure you cook wonderfully," she commented. "I just can't imagine anything better than this either," she concluded, pointing at the cake with her fork.
"I'd love to come and visit sometimes," Alex commented enthusiastically. "Where did you say you live?" she added after a second thought. She'd totally forgotten that she had only met Erica less than one hour earlier. Talking with her was so easy! Not that she had problems talking with people, but sometimes they were so tiresome! As if they liked being depressed and brooding over every single thing. Things would be much easier if everyone was like Erica. "I suppose I'll have to go and find my boss now," she sighed, finishing the last of the cake and putting down the fork. "They're pampering me so much, I kinda forgot I'm supposed to work here," she said with an apologetic grin.
