Grinning, Erica chewed her bottom lip against a giggle. Oh, Alex was fun to be around! Erica hadn't had a friend like Alex in a very long time. "Cake it is, then. I haven't tried it yet, myself. Not from here, anyway," she replied.
Erica beamed back at Alex. "You have the best personality, I swear to God. You're practically perfect. I'm totally keeping you," she laughed. She leaned back in her chair again, grinning back at Alex. Finally! Someone she could really connect with and enjoy spending time with, again. She missed it. All the women she'd been friends with at home had turned their backs on her or betrayed her.
Her smile only faltered when Alex asked her to say she wasn't staying less than a week. "Five days," she said apologetically. "Have to get back to work. I don't suppose there's a strip joint around here...cuz then I could totally stick around until Dan gets back from his current tour..." It was said with a pensive tone, because in all honesty, the idea of sticking around a place she never had to clean, cook, or pay for sounded kind of amazing. She could always have her paychecks wired to her bank and pay the mortgage online, after all, right?
