"I wonder if I remembered to bring a dress," Alex wondered aloud, then shrugged. No need to worry about it now, she'd find something to wear later. Erica's next comment made her open her eyes wide. "You're married?" she asked, craning her head to see if she was wearing a ring. "I would have never said. How to put it... you didn't give out married woman vibes," she said with a small laugh. "Sorry, that probably sounded stupid."
Alex stopped her guessing attempts when a waitress came to pick up their orders. She seconded Erica's order of mac and cheese, winking at Erica. "I have great hopes for this lunch. They should probably pay you to advertise their restaurant or something." She bit her lips in the effort of thinking about a job that was close to modeling. "News reporter!" she exclaimed triumphantly after a few seconds, only to shake her head a moment later. "No, that doesn't really make sense... Hint?" she pleaded, with her best puppy-eyes face.
