Alex nodded. "Yeah, when I woke up everything was unpacked and in order," she said. "I'm glad they did, unpacking is such a hassle and yesterday I was so sleepy I went straight to bed. But I'll absolutely have to stay up tonight, since there's this welcome event," she recalled, and her face lit up again at the prospect.
Her mind started to wander a bit when Erica started to explain about vegans. She knew that meat was, when you got down to it, a dead animal. But she saw no reason to worry about it since when it reached her plate it was already dead and it wasn't as if it would get resurrected if she refused to eat it. However Erica seemed very passionate about it, so she kept smiling and nodding. She didn't like to upset people, and the girl seemed so pleased by her interest! "I think I'll try the mac and cheese then," she said, as they reached the dining room.
"Thanks for guiding me," Alex said, giving Erica a half-bow and a smile and sitting down in front of her. "You probably saved my life, I was about to starve." Then she remembered Erica's comment about her body. "So what's your job?" she asked, curious. "No, don't tell me! Let me guess. Model?" She did look beautiful enough to be one.
