Jo had decided that insomnia was absolutely a bitch. A bitch that had its jaws around her throat and refused to give no matter what. Which made sense, really, after all she didn't exactly want to go to sleep, because that would make her think about hellhounds and Winchesters and a whole lot of pain she didn't want to consider right now.
Instead, despite her experiences the night before, Jo was currently wandering the streets of Metropolis yet again. Which was bizarre, because she was pretty sure that was where Superman was supposed to live, but that was ridiculous to even think about in relation to this place. Using the ID Chloe had made for her, she had purchased a gun that she currently wore tucked in the back of her jeans, and a knife that was slipped into her boot. A part of her almost wanted a reason to have to draw at least one of them, because she needed some way to keep her mind off of her death.
As she turned a corner onto a deserted street, the overhead light burned out and she glanced towards it consideringly, then shook her head. It was more a 'pop' then the flicker that signified a nearby ghost or demon, so she figured it was normal. After a few steps down the street, she began to sense that there was someone behind her, and she grinned to herself. Finally, she spun around, dark eyes widening at the gun pointed at her, though really? She wasn't scared. Just another mugger.
"What do you want?"
"Your money. Hand it over now." Another guy stepped out behind him, and a glance over her shoulder showed three more stepping into view.
"You guys are just what the doctor ordered." And before any could react, she moved fast to grab the wrist of the guy holding the gun and jerked him towards her, pointing the gun down and away as her right fist came up in a sharp jab at his solar plexus.
