Kurt kept his fingers moving through his hair, scratching against his scalp lightly before moving back down to his neck. His brow furrowed as Blaine looked up at him, and he was quick to shake his head.
"No, no honey, you're not a bad person," he murmured, leaning in and pressing a kiss against his shoulder. "I think... part of it's shock?" Of course everyone had their own ways of dealing with tragedy. He hadn't really known how he would react -- he hadn't exactly been old enough to think about how he was supposed to react when his mother had died. It wasn't like he was doing what he would have expected, what Blaine had just mentioned, curling up in a corner and shutting down.
"You're not, please don't think that." He cupped Blaine's jaw in his free hand and turned his head slightly toward him. "I'm... numb."
