It had taken her a while to find something, and she'd even disappeared at one point. If she was going to do it, she was gonna do it right. Daphne was half hoping she had been hallucinating, but he was still there when she returned. Her hand was behind her back, but she was regarding him with a curious expression. He'd done a lot of damage to a lot of people in the mansion. It was a wonder he was actually standing there and not a mummy on the floor somewhere.
Oh, and he'd just called her "Daph".
"I've been okay, I guess. I mean the craving blood thing aside." There was an eerie smile surfacing. It was almost as if she were happy to see him, because in a way she was. She was very happy to see him. She was so happy to see him, she managed to close the distance between them. Her face cleared with a sudden vapidly excited expression, the kind he had seen when she'd first seen him. It was the precursor to her swinging her arm out.
There was a small miniature bat in her hand, and she was clearly aiming for his head with it. It might not have been a stake, but she wasn't going to break Thierry's furniture for this guy.
