WHO: Daphne Childs & Jonas Nilsson WHEN: before the big fight. WHERE: Thierry's Mansion, Las Vegas SUMMARY: Daphne is happy everyone is getting their soulmates back, but there is the thing where like she might die on this big mission and as happy as she is about being able to finally DO SOMETHING, she's really upset over the fact that she's got someone to lose....not that losing anyone else would be great, but seriously, yeah. RATING: PG-13 STATUS: incomplete
Everything was going on it's way and not one person had told her she couldn't go. This was great! This was awesome. She was dead set on going anyway, and they probably figured they'd have to hogtie her and lock her in a chest in a basement under a huge rock to keep her from going. Well, maybe they wouldn't if she convinced them that she'd die there because they'd die or whoever they told to let her out would die or something. It didn't matter. She was just sitting there chewing on her thumbnail. The last time she'd jumped at this sort of danger, she'd been super excited and so sure of herself, but that was just an enclave of like twelve vampires.
This was going to be like everyone ever. Everyone was going. Everyone...and after what she'd witnessed at Black Dawn, she wasn't sure if she could actually carry through the middle of it. Then again, if she had went, it was one more sword and possibly a couple of less bodies on her side littering the field. That was what was driving her right now.
She was pacing in the room. She'd thought about going out and looking for him a couple of times, but he'd have to come back eventually. He had to rest. She was so tired, having been up a couple of more hours after her usual clock out time.
Daphne paused and looked at the door. Yeah, maybe she should go and look for him. It'd be easier that way, though dragging him from the middle of something wasn't ideal, especially at a time like this. She bit her lip, her brows furrowing in annoyance. She'd been standing there in some yoga pants and a tank for a good while now. She'd practiced a couple of things Rashel had taught her, quite thankful for the space in the room. It was nice, focused, distracting, but now that she'd run over just about everything, the time seemed to stretch out for hours. Giving up, she walked over to the door and pulled it open.
