Thread: Ash and Mary-Lynnette WHO: Mary-Lynnette Carter and Ash Redfern WHEN: After Lupe and Aiden find Ash in the desert and bring him back to Thierry's WHERE: Thierry's pad SUMMARY: After rushing to Vegas with Rowan, Mary-Lynnette rushes to see her soulmate after hearing he's been found. RATING: TBD STATUS: Incomplete
She'd been pacing for what felt like forever. After getting into Vegas with Rowan, they'd made their way to Thierry's... to wait some more. It was literally driving her crazy, the waiting, especially because she wanted to be out doing something to find Ash. But she also knew that two werewolves, one of them one of Thierry's most trusted, were out looking for him. And, while she still held a certain amount of instinctual distrust of werewolves (thanks for that, Jeremy), she also knew that they had a much better chance of finding Ash than she did.
What was she going to do? Wander around Vegas aimlessly? Not the best of ideas.
But it didn't help that her stomach was twisted in knots because she just knew that something was terribly, terribly wrong. But Mary-Lynnette didn't feel the severing of that bond they had yet, and she was clinging to that. It meant that he just had to still be alive. And that meant that there was still hope.
But the second she got word that they'd found Ash, she was desperately questioning where exactly he was so she could see him.
This from the girl who'd refused to be with him after he'd left Briar Creek.
Once she reached the door of the room he was in, Mary-Lynnette slowed, feeling suddenly... not shy exactly. More like awkward. What if he decided, once he saw her again, that he'd built her up way too much in his head. Or that he'd changed his mind. Or a thousand other possibilities. She couldn't have really blamed him if he did. After all, she'd been the one to push him away for so long.
But the fact that she knew he'd been hurt was enough to push all that away and nudge the door open.
