Tara had felt so unbelievably guilty. Of course, it wasn't just Dawn. They hadn't told Spike or Giles either, which probably explained their bitterness as well. Willow felt they wouldn't understand, and she had to agree; Giles would be angry, Spike would be skeptical something would go wrong, and we already knew where Dawn stood.
If it was possible not involve Anya and Xander, too, they would of done it. For the sake of everything. The spell was far too dangerous, even more then she had expected. Willow had luckily been prepared for all the tests.
"Everything'll be okay now, right Tara?" Her heart nearly fell when those words came out, that it took her a moment to answer. "Yeah. Of course. We're just...," she paused to think of a way to word everything. "We're just in a rut right now." Apocalypses had that effect on people. "But we'll get through it...Like we always do," she smiled lightly, hoping her hesitation didn't give her away. Because honestly? She wasn't sure if they could win this time.
