He considered the water. She was small next to him and he let his fingers gently brush her shoulder.
"Hard for me to believe this is my last year here. I'll be glad to go though. Some things have to change, and I think I've had about enough of being here. I'm ready to move on to other, better things." Like this summer. One more year and then he'd be in a position to really do something for the cause instead of cooling his heels here.
