"That's good." She waited a beat. "Because you were and all." Her hand had stilled, the quill still clutched in it.
"I'm sorry too," she said after a moment. "For trying to.. for just pushing. I shouldn't have. You made it pretty obvious that it was a one time thing." She set the quill carefully down so the ink wouldn't mark her paper, and looked at him from the corner of her eyes.
