He simply stared and was more attentive at the 'if'. Twelve expected some kind of boring task or something along the lines of having to lift heavier things, which honestly wouldn't be too bad, he was stronger than the average person thanks to weird lab drugs, but it somewhat worked. However, the answer he heard was one of the last things he expected... or maybe he should have? He didn't know.
"Huh?" He didn't mean for his confusion to be expressed aloud, but it certainly was different. It was weird, but mostly because he wasn't used to it. Never had he been invited anywhere and then even in the apartment he stayed at back home, Nine always told him to come straight home once he was finished running whatever errands he'd have, even if Twelve didn't always listen. "That's it?" Were they poisonous or terrible? No, that couldn't be it because then he'd be able to tell already as none of the colors changed.
"Um... okay." His usual chipper front was too flabbergasted to show right away. "Well... I haven't had anything baked in a long time, so it sounds great." It took him a while, but he finally smiled and nodded. The confusion was still there, but he wasn't going to think too hard about it considering he usually acted out more if he did.
"I guess I shouldn't have ruined that shop, otherwise I could have brought a nice present of flowers." There were other places and it wasn't like it was destroyed, just a few damaged outdoor stands, but that wasn't the entire point. "But..." His smile became more smug as he was returning back to himself more, "I think I can bring something better than flowers, and no worries, it's not an explosion, but I'm not gonna tell just yet."
