This kid was something else. A kid who could build a bomb like that wasn't any ordinary child, that much Maes knew. He figured he would have to keep an eye on this boy eventually, and had heard a few things about him along the way. "At least yours wouldn't dissolve in the rain," Maes teased Roy with a grin. "I'm Maes. Maes Hughes." It didn't take him long, but Maes pulled out an adorable photograph of Gracia with Elysia in his hands. He practically shoved the pictures in the kid's face, a big grin on his lips as he did so.
"And this is my beautiful wife Gracia and my darling Elysia!" he remarked cheerfully. "Aren't they just the most precious things in the world? Gracia is absolutely lovely and Elysia is so adorably cute!" He shoved the picture closer, almost too close to see, but he was hoping that the kid would react positively. Maes often did judge the people he met based on their reactions to this very scenario. Most of the people who he spoke with who tolerated it were now his closest friends. And those who reacted strangely to it, Maes used it as a window into their personality.
Besides, who couldn't look at and admire his darling family? They were the most wonderful things in the world as far as Maes was concerned.
