2/2: Sky Sprites
Meg was not prone to girly squeaks of excitement, but given the circumstance she figured she could indulge. Sweeping through the sky, unbound by the Earth below, had been something that previously, only Herc had been able to do. And while she was perfectly happy for him, she prefered being able to battle sky demons on her own.
Semi on her own, that was to say.
Pegasai are rare enough. Pegasus, up to a point, had thought he was the only one, and that was what made him so special. It had lent itself to a certain degree of vanity, and an assurance of self that was founded, but probably not deserved.
She couldn't wait to show him Dash.
Blue feathers fluttering on spread wings, movement so quick that the rainbow mane and tail left only an echo of color in their wake. Meg hadn't called Hercules about the troublesome sprites in the clouds, but could you blame her?
Instead, she gave a victory cry, and so did Rainbow Dash, and together they rushed at their opponents. With the kick of whooves and the flash of arrows, the clouds were clear of danger. Dash pranced slightly, excited, and Meg reached forward to pat her neck.
"That," Dash said, fluttering, "was awesome."
"You bet it was." Meg agreed, a playful smirk on her face. "C'mon-- let's go show Herc and Pegasus."
