Who: Alice Longbottom and Sirius Black
What: Alice actually takes Sirius up on his offer of riding the motorcycle.
Where: ...London? Yeah, we'll go with London.
When: Thursday, July 26, late afternoon.
Status: Incomplete/Closed
Rating: Sirius has a potty mouth so we'll say PG-13/K+/FRT.

Maybe it was Neville turning one. Maybe it was the fact she felt old. Maybe it was the fact that this war seemed to be going on without an endpoint in sight. Or maybe it was a combination of all three of those. But Alice found herself standing outside the door of Sirius' place, hand raised to knock on the door. On her way in, she thought she spied Sirius' motor-something. Wondering why exactly she was here to take Sirius up on his offer without first letting him know she was coming, Alice knocked on the door. A small part of her hoped that Sirius wasn't home though. Foolish behavior on Alice's part and all.

The knock wasn't exactly expected, but it wasn't unwelcome, either. Sirius found himself rather bored more often than not. Since Remus moved in ever so recently, that boredom had alleviated quite nicely, even though he did usually find himself face-to-face with a book rather than the actual man himself on most days. Through his train of thought, he set down the Muggle baking pan and unceremoniously dropped the half-nibbled square of semi-sweet chocolate to the kitchen counter.

Sirius cheerfully approached the flat's door, apron securely tied round his waist and grin on his face. The wards hadn't gone off so it could only be an Order member, or otherwise friendly face. Perhaps whomever it was might consider staying for his newest attempt at dessert. He was getting quite good at using the Muggle cooking contraptions, if he did say so himself.

Upon seeing Alice's familiar face on the other side of the door, he gave her a truly happy grin and ushered her inside with a barely contained: "Cheers! Bloody come on in! Just doing some manly cooking, don't mind the mess!"

Finally! A working keyboard and internet connection that don't come via my phone!

Alice couldn't help herself - she started laughing at the image before her. Sirius in an apron, liberally dusted with flour and some bits of egg splattered on him. The man who tried his best to give off an aura of cool and sex appeal along with a degree of being untouchable? It just didn't seem to gel with Sirius in an apron. "I'm sorry," Alice said chuckling, as she stepped through the doorway, sneaking a look around. "I just never thought I'd see you...in an apron."

She stopped laughing - although a grin was still on her face and faced Sirius. "So what are you trying to make?"

Sirius mock-huffed at her laughter and raised both brows as though expecting her to stop as soon as she saw how serious he could be. Which, with an apron and bits of drying dough sticking to his cheek, was admittedly not a stoic sight. He couldn't hold his expression for long as he cracked a grin of his own upon closing the door.

"Yeah, well... don't go getting used to it. I'm trying to be productive and bake cookies the Muggle way, so Remus can't say I'm not being useful." Something of an exaggeration, since Sirius thought that he was always being useful. Being a rather wealthy person with no occupation was beside the point. He could lounge about on his arse all day drinking beer and it'd still be useful since he had no need of a profession. But still, Sirius was never one to let himself be called lazy.

"Why the sudden visit? Not that I'm ever against seeing your gorgeous face," he added, a waggle of his eyebrows the only warning before he swooped down and placed a flour-covered kiss upon her cheek.

Maybe just maybe if Sirius got rid of the apron and the bits of drying dough off his cheeks, Alice might be able to take him seriously. Well, that and her knowledge of Sirius and his antics. One would definitely have to get rid of that too. It did, however, make her feel better, that he was grinning too; nothing to feel guilty about laughing at him.

"But why would you want to do that?" Alice asked, genuinely curious. For all that Alice supported Muggle and Muggleborn rights and being a member of the Order, she was a pureblood through and through. Not that she thought Muggle ways were wrong. If she did, why would she be fighting - covertly, mind you - for their rights. It just seemed...well, odd. And really, to be truthful, not something she would expect Sirius to be doing. Ever. Especially without magic being involved.

It was only her training that kept her from slightly blushing at Sirius's slightly over-the-top compliment and the kiss. Alice smiled at him and gave his chin a few pats with her hand. "I've decided to take you up on your offer of a ride on your motor-whatsit. That is, if it's still open."
