As much as Alice loved her boys at home and her job, one of the major disadvantages of being the only female at work and at home was the rampant amount of testosterone in front of her day in and day out. Granted, Neville couldn't make penis jokes or on-cue/purpose fart noises and Frank was a knight in shining armor but sometimes she needed a day to herself, doing girly things.

Today was one of those days. Frank and Neville had gone on a father and son adventure, and she was on a shopping spree. She had made stops at Madam Malkin's, Wiseacre's Wizarding Equipment, and finally Eeylops Owl Emporium. Having done the errands that absolutely needed to be done today, Alice was going to take the rest of the day to window shop and then stop at Florean's as an afternoon treat.

She made her way down Diagon Alley, stepping into stores and browsing their wares. At one such shop, she was idly looking through a rack of dark robes when someone came up and stepped on her foot.

"Ow!" Alice exclaimed. "Excuse you."
