Log: Severus
Throughout the entire meeting, Severus was respectfully silent and kept his head bowed. Fairly powerful mental walls were lifted just enough to cover his recent interactions with Dumbledore and the slowly building disgust he felt for the smooth, almost hissing words Voldemort spoke. As usual, he didn't linger for too long once dismissed, but he did catch the eye of a few fellow Death Eaters before departing. Surely he would need to work with some of them in the upcoming week.
He'd gone home that evening with a lot on his mind. He'd successfully blocked the Dark Lord from his thoughts with his increasing Occlumency skills, but he worried that it might not be enough in the long run. Right then and there, he resolved to greatly improve his mental strength for the things that were to come.
It was all uncertain for him since he'd learned of Voldemort's intentions. Where before Severus wouldn't have batted an eye at having to torture Muggles if it got him noticed, now, he could only see Lily's face and the child that she bore. Though he didn't know what Harry looked like, he found himself hoping that he took after her, that he inherited those eyes which still haunted him.
