Death Eater meeting

Date: the 24th of June, 1981
Location: Riddle Manor

The meeting begins with Lord Voldemort summoning his Death Eaters to the parlour of his ancestral manor. He surveys each with a slow, steady gaze, noting which Death Eaters dare to meet his eyes, and which do not. After a heavy silence, he speaks his greetings in a silky rasp, very nearly a hiss. His skin is pale, but his eyes are a rich burgundy, edging towards crimson. He hasn't completely become the gaunt and disfigured dictator we later know.

He states that he has cause to suspect candidates that are part of this 'elite wizarding group' — Auror recruits, young Ministry recruits and interns, St Mungo's interns, Healers, and mediwizards, as well as anyone who is vocally anti-Purist — that seems to be against them. They don't know exactly what the Order is yet; they have only inklings of an idea, knowing that they're the enemy. Thus, Voldemort assigns each Death Eater, regardless of circle status, to find these candidates and target them for interrogation. Your character can take that to mean whatever they like [e.g. torture, Cruciatus, Legilimency to extract information, etc.] but they must Obliviate their targets afterwards. He then states that he expects prompt reports the following week via journal, owl, or any other form of communication, to let him know who was interrogated, what sort of information was gleaned, and who else might be a good next candidate.

Without further ado, he dismisses his Death Eaters and turns to his newly acquired green constrictor, the snake's scales shimmering from the glow of the hearth.
