Lily couldn't help it; from the moment Regulus had been revealed to the Order, she had been shooting glances at Sirius out of the corner of her eye. As much as she teased him, he was her husband's best friend and a good friend of hers too, and she couldn't imagine what he must be feeling. Once the group drifted into the hallway, she reached out to set a hand on his arm and looked up at him, trying to see if he was all right.
When James spoke, Lily turned to him, chewing on her lip thoughtfully. After a moment's pause, she spoke in an undertone. "I think...if Dumbledore is including him, he must have his reasons, but--wouldn't it have been better to discuss at least some of them with us rather than keep all his cards hidden and us in the dark?" Lily crossed her arms over her chest, still mulling over both the Marauders' assignment and Regulus' appearance in her thoughts.
