When Vox caught the amusement on her face, he quirked an eyebrow. She had him badly off balance, teetering between his tightly coiled work persona and something closer to the hunter, and though she might not know why he was off balance, she was amused in her position of power. All reasoning fell aside when he saw that smile, and when she lifted her mouth for a kiss, demanding his response, his lips spread to a smile before returning her caress. Though seemingly unschooled, Hestia certainly knew how to play his game.
He twined his hand behind her neck and deepened the kiss, taking the opportunity to remind both of them of their connection. Though part of him demanded dominance to regain control of the situation, he was much smarter than to allow it reign. He kept the kiss slow and sensual, heated in the most intimate sense, and he was aching to make good on his promises when she pulled away.
Though he had already given her permission to ask her questions, they were hardly welcome after that kiss.
"I was a Slytherin. Seeker on the Quidditch team. I read a great deal, and I got outstanding marks. More prevalent to the immediate conversation," he brushed her hair off her shoulder and allowed his fingers to trail along the underside of her arm, "I've never kissed anyone in this office before. So that was a first."
