He could only nod as she announced that she was an auror in training. Because, of course she bloody was. It wouldn't have done for her to be a secretary or one of those witches over-excited by muggle toasters. She would one day soon be directly responsible for keeping the peace and protecting the world from people exactly like him ... if she were so lucky as to get the important cases. Truly, with the possible exception of being a Seer, she couldn't have said anything less welcome.
"That's important work," he said instead. "Personally, I like bad guys that don't talk back."
As they came to his office, Vox couldn't help but throw a quick glance to both sides, making sure no one was watching, before he opened the door and ushered her inside. The space wasn't huge, but he'd warranted enough room for his desk, a small sitting area, and an attached bathroom. They'd okayed the bathroom as an add on after he'd washed blood off his face in the ministry bathrooms one too many times.
Stripping off his shirt with a flourish, he gave her a playful look and then said, "Here. Heal my wounds and ask your questions. You must have many."
