He's a 24 year old college student at NYU working on finishing up his degree in Biology and Art, and working as a part-time bouncer at a popular night club. Hiya Guys! [Thu 29 Oct @ 12:10pm] redhexbolts I know I'm really late on the bandwagon here but I've just had one hell of a week. I actually got swine flu! Yay me. So now that I'm mostly better, I'm bringing in the gorgeous Wanda Maximoff. She's a waitress at a small diner not too far from campus and is a student at NYU. She's fairly new to the area, only been living here for about 8 months or so and she still speaks with a soft Romanian accent. Oh and she has no idea her father is Magneto. So fun times all around. I would love to scene with people and get story lines started. I'm on AIM constantly under RPjunkie4life (it says I'm mobile but hit me up anyhow. My phone is nearly as fast as a computer and I'm out a lot.) I do tend to work a lot and late considering I have a three hour commute everyday. Hello, My Name Is [Tue 27 Oct @ 6:17pm] brainy_betsy Brendan. I'm a 27-year-old guy living in Toronto, Ontario. I work during the EST daytime, in the disability management field of human resources. I do night school too sometimes. My availability online is irregular and often unpredictable. Can't access the internet from work, and can't necessarily post every single day. But, really though, I don't recall the last time I got through an entire day without at least touching my macbook. I can probably be reached easiest by e-mail or MSN at hyprdramatic@hotmail.com. I do have an AIM account, but I haven't used it in years. All the same, I am hugely keen to write with other characters, and equally keen to do some ground-work plotting in advance (if anyone else likes to do such things). I have been writing as part of RPGs, pbems and fanfiction for over a decade now. I must admit that it has been a long while since I was involved in any LJ-RPGs or even any super-heroics. The premise of this RPG is just too exciting; it drew me right in. Psylocke has always been my long-time favourite X-Man. I started reading comics during the Onslaught saga, and that purple-haired ninja with shadow powers was simply too cool to my teenaged self. When my reading brought me back to the Outback X-Men, I discovered that I much preferred the classic, British Psylocke. The body-armour, and the psycho-blasts. The English Rose with the soul of a Warrior. She didn't need no "focused totality of her telepathic powers". Of course, I went back even further to her tragic origins with Alan Davis and Alan Moore's Captain Britain. If I'm to write a character based on his or her essence, with all the continuity stripped away, Psylocke is the only one I can manage with ease. I've gone back to the beginning with Betsy here. No purple hair, no telekinesis, no super-powered brothers. She's a blonde, charter-pilot, action-junkie with a head full of other people's thoughts. EDIT: Ah-ha! I got AIM working. I'm 26 and from a tiny farming community in upstate new york (where there are at least three times as many cows as there are humans, although I think it might be up to five times now..). I'm going to school for Graphic Design but am a computer Tech for a tiny library where I do things that aren't in my job description (posters, flyers, magnets, and business stuff) as well as hand-code their website. Introduction [Mon 19 Oct @ 1:06am] mindyourhead Hey everyone. I'm Rae. I have no interesting story, other than I RP a lot and manage to balance a whole shitload of games. I'm 21, a housewife/hotel receptionist, and I'm always online. The end. On to the interesting stuff. I play Jean Grey. For her backstory, think Ultimate X-men Jean, where she could hardly control her powers and thought she was completely insane. Said powers aren't very strong, unless she's angry or scared or so on. But when she's trying, she can't manage much. That'll change later on, of course, but for now, she's more Marvel Girl than Phoenix. She's a nice gal, for the most part, if a little awkward socially. She's a student who pays the bills by selling paintings that everyone sees as 'abstract' but are actually visuals of what she 'sees' when she reads minds, all swirls and random pictures. Read someones mind, then paint it, and they love it. So maybe she's cheating a little, but whatever. Girl's gotta make a living, right? I'm at pixelated sadism for plots and stuff, but I'm easily distracted, so don't freak out if I don't answer every IM every time. Reporting for duty [Sun 18 Oct @ 9:51pm] deepsix Hello, everyone. I'm Charlie and I'm really excited that the game is underway, seriously looking forward to playing Scott in this setting. Background on myself? I've been writing for several years now. Started in the AOL chat rooms and then moved to GreatestJournal, then--when I came back from my two-year hiatus--InsaneJournal. I like to think of myself as a really easy-going type of guy, so feel free to hit me up whenever if you wanna talk or work on something. I'm pretty flexible with my characters. So, moving onto the subject.. I only have one character in the game and it would be the prototypical boy scout, Scott Summers captsummers. This version of Scott tends to sway less to the boy scout and more into the professional soldier, though he still maintains his unflappable manners. He's still pretty socially awkward and reserved when it comes to strangers, but the capacity for extreme loyalty towards his relations is there. He is also very much a trained killer, having taken his job in the military extremely seriously and prepared himself in a variety of ways to be the most effective weapon for his country. He was the typical Cyclops background for the most part, his parents dying in a plane accident and being raised in an orphanage in Omaha. Only instead, he endured the crucible of the state home and went into the Air Force to become a pilot like his father. He excelled and was often recruited for the jobs that the government doesn't recognize, which it was on one of those missions that his powers manifested after he was downed by enemy fire. He's left the military under a lot of suspicion, coming to New York to find his brother Alex. So, like I said, feel free to hit me up on AIM (into the monster) and let's plot. I've been in many games and seen situations where muns were nervous to talk openly with the moderators, and I honestly don't want to be viewed as having a "higher power" than all of you. Other than that, I have three characters, which there apps are kind of at a state of discord. Haha, I know. x__x I have Magma, Lifeguard, and Northstar. geothermal; Amara Aquilla - She's from Nova Roma, Brazil, a secret society of aristocratic outcasts in the amazon. She was set to be sacrificed by Selene Gallio (who I think would make a good NPC?) and since then, has discovered she had been lied to, and seeks the truth of her heritage and family in New York City. northtipped; Jean-Paul Martin is Northstar, twin to Aurora, but I don't think they've discovered this out yet. He discovered his mutation during a skiing accident. Went to NYU to go to school and such, and he's a barrista! :D And theres lifeguardian; Heather Cameron is from Australia, and has an effed up family. Her father ran the mafia, and stuff. She's cleaned her slate, worked as a lifeguard in school over in oz to pay for her college tuition, and even managed to graduate and land a nice job in the states. Heather still lifeguards, but only in the summer (as new york is cold and such the majority of the time) She's a marine biologist, specializing is marine life. And these are the kids.
